On the afternoon of 5 March, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the PRC and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, joined the deliberation of the Jiangsu delegation to the fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress. He stressed that major economic provinces such as Jiangsu are at the forefront of reform and opening up and must work hard to study new situations and solve new problems and produce experience, and, in light of Jiangsu's realities, set out clear requirements for economic and social development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
CPPCC Member Sun Libin watched the news report immediately and carefully studied the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech. He said he was deeply encouraged, greatly inspired and energised, that he would firmly remember the earnest instructions and press forward unswervingly along the direction the General Secretary has charted, work tirelessly in his own position, and contribute more wisdom and strength to a good start to the 15th Five-Year Plan.
